Blue Collar Rods & Rides

High-class work, Blue Collar price.

Blue Collar Rods & Rides is headquartered in the state-line city of Beloit, Wisconsin. Serving as a custom auto body and full custom automotive build services facility for our customers. Blue Collar can provide our services for work on daily drivers or restore high-end custom and vintage vehicles.

In addition to custom builds, Blue Collar also provides hand-painted pinstriping, and custom airbrushing services for your next project vehicle or your daily driver.

Owners Harold Thompson and his son Jason Thompson opened the business in 2017 after Harold’s retirement. Harold and his brother Don Thompson have built many cars since their early teens, having owned 140 hot rods and classic cars over the years. Jason was eager to join as he has a passion for vehicle restoration as well. They brought on Harold’s brother Don Thompson to work as a project consultant and his nephew Arne “Chris” Thompson as an employee and to work on the website and social media. Additional team members added since opening include fabrication specialist Joel Salter, Office Manager Marcie Salter, mechanical-technical specialist Steve “Reno” Hayes, finishing and paint specialist Dan Swanson, and Jason's son Evan Thompson as an apprentice.

Over the years the team members and their decades of experience have helped many people finally restore the dream cars which had been sitting idle for years. Restoring a car to its former glory can be especially exciting for those vehicle owners who couldn’t find the time to do it themselves.

Twice as nice for half the price.
